Meg Stewart
Owner & Lead Instructor

 

Pilates has always been a personal and professional passion for Meg so creating Renew really is a dream come true! 

 

Meg holds a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science and Commerce (Sports Management) and enjoys working most with those who carve out time to put themselves first, want to learn about their body and unlock the incredible things it can do. 

 

“I was first exposed to Pilates in 2010 during my 140 hour placement whilst studying Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University. I quickly discovered the profound physical and mental health benefits this unique method of movement allows you to unlock. My hope is for each client to leave a session feeling challenged yet centered, lengthened and strong and most importantly motivated and energised.”

 

When Meg’s not in the studio, you’ll find her soaking up precious moments with her daughter Poppy, sipping a strong latte planning Pilates classes with the help of her cat Frank or at the beach swimming, surfing or walking her golden retriever Snowy.

Mon Vehlen
Studio Manager & Instructor
 

Mon grew up dancing therefore movement has always been a huge part of her life. She has completed her Cert IV in Fitness and KX Pilates Academy Training. As soon as she took her first Reformer Pilates class, she knew this is what she was meant to do in life - help others feel energised, lengthened, accomplished, happier and healthier - all whilst enjoying a sense of calm

"I love that Pilates has so many different elements all adding their own sense of 'difficulty'; balance, control, strength, coordination, flexibility, focus, flow and precision"

When she's not in the studio ensuring Renew is running smoothly, you'll find her searching for the best hikes (with the least amount of people), surfing, riding, doing pilates, drinking coffee, journaling or reading.

Sandy Stewart
Co-owner, Osteopath & Instructor
 

Sandy is keen to get you moving in a fun, engaging, challenging but most of all sustainable way! He has extensive knowledge of the human body having completed a Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science and a Masters of Osteopathy.

 

“I believe movement is medicine. As an Osteopath, I rarely send anyone home without some form of movement or exercise rehabilitation. Pilates often replicates the movement patterns I’m working to achieve with clients and therefore is such a great way to avoid any aches or pains arising in the first place - after all, prevention is better than cure!”

 

When Sandy’s not helping people feel better in their own bodies, you’ll find him out and about enjoying the coastal lifestyle playing golf, surfing & running. Although lately Sandy’s (and our studio owner Meg’s) new number one priority, is their daughter Poppy!

Teia Spiby
Instructor

Teia grew up dancing and has a very strong passion for it. She is trained to the advanced
2 level of ballet (Royal Academy of Dance syllabus), and is currently teaching ballet
to the next generation.


Teia discovered the magic of Pilates in 2023 and it was love at first sight. 

"Pilates was something
that I instantly fell in love with from my very first class! I walked out feeling a powerful
sense of gratitude and transformation and could feel the amazing benefits that it
gives to not only your body, but your mind and soul as well.

I am hopeful that as an instructor I can push
clients to feel the same sense of fulfilment and joy as I have myself."


When Teia is not in the studio, you will find her baking up far too many choc chip
cookies, playing with her 2 labradors Louie and Maggie, going on beach walks,
choreographing a new routine, soaking up the sunshine, or trying to study her teaching degree!

Jo Wicks
Instructor

Jo had an 'ah ha' moment two years ago after she felt that her 9-5 graphic design job wasn't leaving her with a sense of purpose.

This moment lead to the completion of her Cert IV in mat, reformer, pre & post natal training. She loved it so much that she is now over half way through her Clinical Pilates Diploma with Breathe Education.

"I truly believe Pilates is the training of your mind, body and soul preparing for what life throws your way. Seeing clients challenge themselves and start to move more and more fearlessly in every session makes me do a little dance!"


When Jo isn't teaching or studying, she is playing tug with her rescue pup, teaching herself to surf (slowly), painting or eating good food with friends and family.

Jenaye Furlong
Instructor

Jenaye is a movement enthusiast, and believes movement is the best medicine! She grew up Dancing and having a very active life style. She was
introduced to Pilates in her early 20’s and has never looked back.


She has a great appreciation for the importance of body awareness, strengthening, the benefits of regular body maintenance and ongoing education.
 

Jenaye has experience teaching Mat, Reformer and Studio Rehabilitation Pilates. Jenaye is also a Qualified Myotherapist working within the
community and has been working in the the industry for 4+ years.


When she is not in the studio or helping others move and feel better you will find Jenaye running, cycling, exploring the coast line, going on endless
adventures with her Kelpie. She also loves encourage others and friends to
continue to challenge their bodies abilities, with good fundamental principals.

Lindsay Campbell
Instructor

Lindsay’s love for Pilates started after a recommendation from an Osteopath for a persistent back injury. 4 years later and Lindsay has been hooked ever since!

 

“I quickly found out that Pilates is more than just exercise; it's a holistic approach to not only your physical strength but also your mental clarity!” 

 

This firsthand experience inspired Lindsay to become an instructor so that she could share the countless benefits of Pilates with others. Lindsay completed her certification with Barre Body in 2023 with  the support of the team here at Renew!

 

When Lindsay’s not in the studio you’ll find her lapping up time with her family, at the beach and jumping at any chance to travel!

Alyssa Tyler
Instructor

Alyssa recently completed her reformer Pilates training through the Elixr School of Pilates and is so excited to now be teaching!

As a qualified naturopath Alyssa loves connecting with people and supporting them to form and achieve their health and wellbeing goals.

Being a big advocate for self-care, Alyssa is always encouraging people to treat themselves!

This could look like going out for a matcha and a treat, taking a relaxing bath, attending a pilates class (!), or buying that reeeally cute and practical new jumper. 

 

When Alyssa isn’t teaching she’s spending time with friends and family, cooking tasty food, taking her adorable kelpie, Fletcher, to the oval, drinking endless cups of herbal tea, and trying to get down to the beach as often as possible!
