I am a complete beginner and have never done any Reformer Pilates - where should I start?

I’ve booked into my first session, what do I need to know?

 

 


 

 

I’ve got a pre-existing injury/condition - how do I let the instructor know?

 

There is a section on our booking form you can mention this so our instructors can see this in advance. Arrive 5-10 minutes before class so you can also speak directly to your instructor.

​


How many people are in each sessions?

 

We have a maximum of 8 clients in our Reformer sessions. This small group setting allows us to tailor exercises to suit each individual and ensure you receive the attention you deserve and get the results you want faster. 

​


How far in advance can I book in?

 

Bookings can be made up to 5 weeks in advance. Bookings close 30 minutes before a schedule class. Our classes are busy so please book well in advance to avoid missing out.

How do you waitlists work?

​

If a class is fully booked you have the option to join the waitlist. From the waitlist you can be added into a class at anytime of day, up to 60 minutes before class start. If you are opted in to receive the waitlist notifications, you will receive an email or text to confirm if you would like to join the class. No response is taken as acceptance by our system.

​

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND opting in to notifications to avoid unwanted bookings and subsequent late cancel or no show fees.

  


How do I cancel my pre-booked class? 

 

Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before your class via the App or website. This gives clients on the waitlist an opportunity to fill the spot. 

​

 

What is your cancellation policy?

Casual Passes, Class Packs & Limited Memberships
If you cancel less than 12 hours prior to the class start time or do not attend (no show) you will forfeit that class/session.

 

 Unlimited Memberships 
If you cancel less than 12 prior
to the start time you will be charged $10.00 to your credit card or bank account via a third party biller [Stripe]. If you do not attend (no show) you will be charged $15.00 to your credit card or bank 
account via a third party biller [Stripe].

Private Sessions

If you cancel less than 12 hours prior to the class start time you will be charged a sum of 50% of your session price.

​

 We acknowledge that unavoidable and exceptional circumstances occur from time to time and fees may be waived in these instances upon request and at our discretion.

​


Do you provide refunds?

 

Refunds due to injury/personal circumstances are considered on a case by case basis, please email us to discuss. Any refunds issued will forfeit a 2.75% transaction fee from the total original payment.

If I don’t use all my class passes before my pack expires do they roll over?

 

Class cannot be rolled over after your pack has expired. We have designed our class packs to ensure you commit to a weekly movement routine that will give you results and still allow for flexibility. You will receive a reminder email before your pass is due to expire. If you wish to suspend your class pack or membership 7 days notice via email is required for any class pack and membership suspensions with a minimum suspension period of 7 days.

I’m pregnant - what classes can I come to?

 

Firstly, congratulations! At Renew we love supporting women throughout all stages of their pregnancy via movement, with research finding that staying routinely active can help relieve common ailments during pregnancy, greatly assist to prepare the body for labour itself and also enhance postpartum recovery. Accordingly, all women with uncomplicated pregnancy are encouraged to participate in aerobic and strength conditioning exercise.

 

If you've been practicing Pilates regularly prior to falling pregnant, any of our classes will be suitable for you as our team can modify exercises for you when needed. If you're new to Pilates, try our Fundamentals class first off and we will take it from there. We also have a weekly Prenatal class which will be your best friend during the later stages of pregnancy especially!

Do you have shower/bathroom facilities?

 

We don’t have shower facilities, however we have a unisex bathroom.

How do I know if I am ready to do Elevate Reformer?

 

If you’re completing a ‘Renew’ class feeling strong and confident, you’re ready. 
 


I have a friend/relative visiting - can they join me as a one off?

 

Of course! They will need to purchase a casual class via our website OR you can gift them a class via this link.

Do you offer private sessions?

 

Absolutely! We offer 1:1 and 1:2 private sessions. Please reach out via phone or email to discuss how we can facilitate this. We also offer private sessions for groups of friends, family, colleagues, team mates, dog park buddies - anyone really!

If you have never done Reformer Pilates we strongly suggest booking an initial 1:1 private session. We will introduce you to the reformer, its components along with key terminology and movements so you feel comfortable going into your first group class. Check out our Private 1:1 appointment times or reach out to us at hello@renewwellnessco.com to lock a time in.  If you’ve done some Reformer and/or Pilates before, a great place to start is with our WELCOME PASS, which you can use to book into unlimited classes for 2 weeks! Check out our class styles here.

We’re so excited to meet you!  Wear comfortable clothes that you can move, stretch and sweat in.  Bring some water, a small towel (you might get sweaty!) and an open mind.  Please arrive 5ish minutes early before class so you can familiarise yourself with the space and meet your instructor.  You’ll be in bare feet or Pilates grip socks on - socks are available to purchase in the studio.
